Gourmet food retailer Jones the Grocer to enter Saudi Arabia

Australian specialty gourmet food retailer Jones the Grocer has entered into a partnership with Naif Alrajhi Investment to open its stores in Saudi Arabia.

Its flagship store will be on the ground floor of new tower the Fairmont Ramla Serviced Residences in Riyadh.

The building is developed by Naif Alrajhi Investment and Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. It is scheduled for completion in 2020.

The first Saudi outlet will sell gourmet grocery, halal charcuterie, and will include a bakery, patisserie and an artisan cheese room.

Jones the Grocer is planning a multi-store rollout across Saudi Arabia.

Outside of Australia, there are fifteen Jones the Grocer franchised outlets in the UAE and one in Qatar.

The retailer also operates in Cambodia and Singapore.
