Malaysia Cabinet has resigned, says minister
Malaysia's Cabinet has tendered its resignation to the country's king, according to Khairy Jamaluddin, minister of science, technology and innovation.
"Thank you for the opportunity to, once again, serve the nation. May God bless Malaysia," said Khairy in an Instastory on Monday (Aug 16).
State news agency Bernama reported that prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin earlier in the day held a special Cabinet meeting before meeting the king.
However, there has been no official announcement from the prime minister.
