Malaysian firm Lagenda divests 49% stake in poultry business

Malaysian firm Lagenda Properties has disposed its 49% equity interest in six poultry-related companies for 9.8 million ringgit ($2.35 million).

The companies are Harumi Brands Sdn Bhd, Breeding Sdn Bhd, Hatchery Sdn Bhd, D.B.E. Marketing Sdn Bhd, D.B.E. Food Processing Industries Sdn Bhd and D.B.E. Gurney Chicken Sdn Bhd.

Lagenda said it is divesting its interests in the companies to focus its resources in its property development business, according to a bourse filing on Monday (September 28).

Lagenda is formerly known as D.B.E. Gurney Resources Berhad.

Its interest in the six companies have been taken over by Ding Seng Huat who resigned as managing director of D.B.E Gurney in January to concentrate his efforts on the poultry business.
