Bahrain central bank Sukuk Al-Ijara oversubscribed by 870%


Published 10 Mar,2021 via bizbahrain - The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 870%.

Subscriptions worth BD 226.195 million were received for the BD 26 million issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on 11th March 2021 and matures on 9th September 2021, is 1.69% compared to 2.35 of the previous issue on 4th February 2021.
