Bangladesh government urges Muslims not to arrange iftar, sehri at mosques


Published 05 Apr,2021 via The Financial Express - The government has asked Muslims in the country to refrain from arranging iftar and sehri (fast breaking and night meal) at mosques during the holy month of Ramadan amid increasing trend of coronavirus infection.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs gave with the instruction in notification issued on Monday.

The ministry also asked devotees to keep social distancing during their prayers and to offer obligatory prayers only at mosques with an aim to curb virus infections.
