COVID-19 lockdown: Time for Islamic countries to set up their own halal production facilities
Countries are in lockdown in one way or another amid the continuing spread of the novel coronavirus. We spoke to halal logistics expert Dr. Marco Tieman about supply chain issues arising from so many countries closing their borders. A key lesson from the lockdown, he says, is that it's clear Islamic countries, which are big halal consumers but not big halal producers, need to set up their own halal production clusters.
