Food delivery service ‘significantly increases’ Jordan's restaurant sector’s sales volume — representatives
Published 28 Mar,2021 via The Jordan Times AMMAN — The Kingdom’s restaurant sector’s sales volume has significantly increased after allowing food delivery services to operate until midnight during the week, according to a sector representative.
In a phone interview with The Jordan Times on Thursday, Omar Awwad, president of the Jordan Association for Restaurants and Sweets Shops Owners, said: “Restaurants’ sales volume increased by 50 per cent, following the government’s decision allowing food delivery during curfew hours.”
Awwad noted that most restaurants either offer their customers free delivery or offer discounts and other deals.
