Published 17 Jan,2021 via The Jordan Times AMMAN — Farmers threw their produce on the streets in a sign of anger towards their losses, demanding more steps to improve their sector's deteriorating conditions.
“Farmers carry heavy burdens, mainly high production cost," said Adnan Khadam, head of the Jordan Valley Farmers Union, told The Jordan Times on Saturday.
Khadam said that the high cost of farming is a major turn off for 400,000 Jordanians who make their living solely from selling their crops."
