Jordan-Qatar trade balance grows to $55 million


Published 24 Jul,2021 via The Jordan Times AMMAN — The volume of trade balance between Jordan and Qatar grew 17.5 per cent during the first quarter of 2021, compared with the same period last year, statistics by the Qatar Planning and Statistics Authority showed on Saturday.

The Jordan-Qatar trade balance during the first quarter of 2021 totalled 200 million Qatari riyals (about $55 million), compared with 165 million Qatari riyals (about $45.3 million) the year before, according to quarterly trade data issued by the authority and cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Jordan's top imports from Qatar include lubricants, kerosene, liquefied gas and fertilisers, while Qatar mainly imports fruits and vegetables, livestock, chemicals, medicines, phosphate and potash.
