Oman: More businesses to open from Wednesday


Published 23 Jun,2020 via Muscat Daily - The Supreme Committee tasked with tackling the developments resulting from the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic met on Tuesday and decided to reopen a new package of 56 commercial and industrial activities starting from June 24.

These include shopping malls, laundries, tailor shops, the fish markets at Muttrah, Seeb, Sohar, Suwaiq, Quriyat, Ashkara, and Ibri, advertising and media establishments, and travel an tours outlets. The competent authorities will also announce details and the health requirements necessary to practise them.

The meeting was headed by H E Hammoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, in the presence of all members of the committee, to follow up on the developments of the pandemic, prevention measures, and ways to avoid its spread.
