Saudi unemployment drops to 11.7 percent as women in the workplace rise
Published 30 Jun,2021 via Arab News - Economy RIYADH - Saudi unemployment numbers fell in the first quarter according to data released on Wednesday.
The unemployment rate of Saudis dropped to 11.7 percent in the first quarter of 2021, compared to 12.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2020, according to estimates from the General Authority for Statistics.
That takes the unemployment rate for Saudis slightly below its pre-pandemic level.
