Taiwan's Penghu NSA Administration promotes Muslim-friendly tourism

Penghu is the most Muslim-friendly county in Taiwan. Since 2018, the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Bureau, MOTC has cooperated with the International Muslim tourism industry to promote a friendly environment for Muslim tourism, thus attracting more tourists and boosting tourism in Penghu.

With the guidance of the Penghu National Scenic Area Administration, Tourism Bureau, there are ten B&Bs such as 23.5 Blue and five visitor centers (such as Penghu Visitor Center) have obtained the Muslim Friendly Environment mark. Other accomplishments include one Muslim friendly hotel, two Halal food signs and five Halal certified souvenirs.

On the “Penghu Muslim-friendly Tourism Environment Results Presentation,” Director Hsu Tsung-min of the Penghu NSA Administration, Tourism Bureau, along with Ma Shiao-chi, Chairman of the International Muslim Tourism Industry Development Association (IMTIDA), conferred Muslim-friendly environment certification. Among the recipients, Yentai Hotel is the only Muslim-friendly hotel certified by the International Institute for Halal Research & Training (INHART, IIUM)
