LuLu Group International (LuLu Group) is a UAE-based highly diversified conglomerate with an international business portfolio ranging from hypermarket operations to shopping mall developments, manufacturing and trading of goods, hospitality assets, and real estate. Established in 1995 by Indian business visionary Yusuff Ali M.A, it currently operates approximately 258 stores located in 23 countries across the Middle East, Asia, US, and Europe, either as retail stores in stand-alone malls or within popular shopping centres or as distribution companies. LuLu Group spearheads two of the largest food processing facilities in India founded by Fair Exports. Fair Exports’ manufacturing plants adhere to halal and Islamic rituals, especially in the production and processing of halal meat. Fair Exports has also achieved notable recognitions from various government bodies in India, along with international certificates from Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point and International Organization for Standardization. In 2021, LuLu Group's collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Doha and the Office of Commercial Affairs in Tehran resulted in the launch of 'Thai Halal Products In-store Promotion in Qatar' at LuLu outlets in Qatar, featuring over 1,000 Thai food products. The company remains committed to marketing halal products and supporting companies that produce them. In 2021, LuLu Group ranked 147th in Deloitte’s “Global Powers of Retailing 2021” ranking list of top 250 global retailers and one of the two UAE companies listed overall. Additionally, LuLu Group ranked 3rd in Forbes’ list of “Top 100 Making An Impact In The Arab World”. LuLu Group has always been at the forefront of fulfilling strong corporate social responsibilities (CSR) policies as well as contributing to sustainable development following internationally recognized standards and frameworks such as the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the national development policies, or visions, of the countries in which it operates.
