In 2021, Musim Mas earned recognition as one of the 14 company recipients of the Halal Assurance System (HAS) Award from the Halal Inspection Body (LPH) of LPPOM MUI. This award acknowledges the company’s commitment to implementing the Halal Assurance System across all its business operations, serving as a token of appreciation for maintaining halal certification standards. The company manufactures palm oil and value-added derivatives before exporting via its extensive fleet of tankers and barges. The company’s global marketing activities are undertaken by Inter-Continental Oils and Fats (ICOF) based in Singapore, a member of Musim Mas Group that oversees the marketing and distribution of high-quality palm oils, lauric oils, and derivative products worldwide. Musim Mas is the first major palm oil company in Indonesia to be 100% certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) in 2012 for all of its plantations, as well as the first major palm oil company to be verified by the Palm Oil Innovation Group (POIG) in 2019. The company’s sustainability efforts were highly recognized at the largest sustainability & environmental awards in Indonesia in 2021 when it was awarded 11 PROPER Awards (an assessment program that aims to increase environmental compliance and stewardship of businesses in Indonesia) by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in Indonesia (KLHK), which was the highest number of PROPER Awards awarded to a palm oil company.
