PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk (SIMP Group) is a prominent, diverse and vertically integrated Indonesian agribusiness group enterprise deeply rooted in the food industry. Established in 1992, SIMP Group’s operations span the entire palm oil production supply chain, from research and development to palm oil cultivation, milling, and the distribution of products like cooking oil, margarine, and shortening. SIMP Group manages its business activities through two business divisions: plantations division and edible oils & fats division. It is also engaged in the cultivation of plant crops such as sugar cane, rubber, cocoa, and tea. In 1997, the company became a subsidiary of Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk, one of Indonesia's largest food conglomerates, supplying its cooking oils to IndoFood for its industrial market. SIMP Group places significant emphasis on adhering to halal standards and hasobtained the LLPOM MUI halal certification from the Indonesian Ulema Council, ensuring that 100% of its products and refineries are halal-certified and in compliance with Islamic law. This commitment has earned consumer trust and established the company as a reliable brand in Muslim-majority markets. In 2022, the company also completed self-assessment quality assurance audits of 100% of its non-raw material suppliers (packaging and ingredients). Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk demonstrates a proactive stance towards sustainable palm oil production, actively engaging in various initiatives to reduce its environmental footprint and promote responsible practices within the industry. These efforts align with the broader goals of responsible corporate citizenship and environmental sustainability. In 2013, six core sustainability programmes were introduced that underscore the company’s sustainability framework. These include: Growing Responsibly, Sustainable Agriculture and Products, Safe and Traceable Products, Smallholders, Work and Estate Living, and Solidarity. Through these Programmes, SIMP Group contributes towards the 15 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
