- Dr Dalal Assouli, Assistant Professor of Islamic Finance, Hamad Bin Khalifa University
Dr. Dalal Aassouli is an Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of the Master of Science Program in Islamic Finance at CIS. She has worked at the International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILM) in Malaysia, where she assisted with the establishment of the IILM's sukuk program. She has also held several positions in international institutions in Europe where she had exposure to the African, European, and Latin American markets. Dr. Aassouli holds master’s degrees from NEOMA Business School and Paris Dauphine University, and a PhD from ENS de Lyon in France. Her areas of research interest include Islamic finance in general and its implications for liquidity management, corporate finance, ethical finance, development finance, green finance, sustainable development, and socially responsible investing. Dr. Dalal is also an invited speaker at international Islamic finance conferences and events and provides her consultancy expertise to various organizations on issues related to Islamic and sustainable finance.
- Ökkeş Emin Balçiçek, CTO, Architecht
Ökkeş Emin Balçiçek graduated from Yıldız Technical University Computer Engineering in 2005. In 2012, he gained his master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Istanbul Bilgi University. Currently, he is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Engineering in A.I. at Konya Technical (Selcuk) University. He started his professional career in 2003 at Erkam Bilişim for developing and managing E-Commerce and ERP systems. Between 2007 and 2009, he worked for Tema Holding, which is known as the LCWaikiki brand. In 2009, he joined the Kuveyt Turk Participation Bank and played an essential role in the Core Banking Transformation Program as an Enterprise Architect. Between 2012 and 2014, he took the lead in establishing Kuveyt Turk Information Technologies R&D Center in Konya. Afterward, he worked as V.P. of R&D and Enterprise Architecture Department responsible for FinTech, User Experience, Enterprise Architecture, Data Management, Infrastructure Application, and Enterprise Solution domains. He has recently been serving as Chief Technology Officer at Architecht Inc., which is 100% owned by Kuveyt Turk since May 2019. As a seasoned technology leader with over 16+ years of Information Technology (I.T.) experience taking on entire digital organizations and leading them into the next phase of growth. He guided digital transformation projects in the finance sector in terms of both technical architecture and management. Passionate about finding and developing talented people, evolving technical architecture, improving operational excellence, and creating a great workplace culture. As a digital technology executive, he has focused on modernizing financial technology, driving transformational change, and turning around underperforming organizations and technology strategies. In parallel with his professional life, he has been teaching "Financial Technology Management Class" for six years at Sakarya University, Faculty of Informatics, Computer Engineering. He is married and the father of the two children.
- Nizam Uddin OBE, Chief Strategy Officer, Algbra
Nizam is Chief Strategy Officer of algbra, a technology-based and shariah-compliant financial ecosystem dedicated to global financial inclusion by focusing on the underserved and underbanked. Nizam was previously the Senior Head of Mosaic and Community Integration at The Prince’s Trust, where he oversaw the organisation's community cohesion and social integration activities and led Mosaic, an independent Initiative founded by HRH The Prince of Wales to uplift diverse communities across the UK's highest areas of deprivation. Nizam has a strong interest and background in overcoming the societal and economic challenges that prevent disenfranchised and minority communities from fulfilling their potential. He is a 2019 Greenberg World Fellow at Yale University and a 2019 US State Department International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) participant. Nizam is currently a Trustee of SOAS, University of London, a Trustee of Robert. F. Kennedy Human Rights UK, a Trustee of Belong - the UK's Cohesion and Integration Network (COIN), and a member of the Mayor of London’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group. He holds an MA in Public Policy from King’s College London and was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s 2020 Birthday Honours list for services to social mobility and community integration.

Shakeeb is the founder and CEO of IslamicMarkets.com, a leading learning, financial intelligence and investing platform for the global Islamic economy. Having worked in the financial services industry for over a decade, including Bloomberg, Morgan Stanley (Prime Brokerage), Dubai Islamic Bank (Treasury Sales), Shakeeb has a combination of industry knowledge and leadership acumen. His academic interests centre on Islamic finance, FinTech and creating vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystems in emerging markets. Shakeeb holds a Master's in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from the University of Nottingham, UK.
