Ramadan is celebrated all over the world, and these celebs are getting into the spirit of the holy month.

1. PRINCE HARRY

One thing we love about the British royal family is that they’re not afraid to embrace all religious celebrations. During a recent two-day trip to Singapore, Prince Harry joined members of a local Muslim-welfare organisation for iftar.

The 32-year-old prince joined 80 young people at Jamiyah Singapore who were breaking their fast with a meal of porridge and dates.

After the event, the president of the organisation told the media that the community was honoured that Prince Harry took part.

“Ramadan is a time of reflection, for spending time with family and friends while giving support to those who are less fortunate,” he said.

2. SHAH RUKH KHAN

King Khan always takes to social media to wish his fans Ramadan Mubarak, and this year was no different.

The Bollywood star is also grabbing a lot of headlines at the moment due to his appearance on the programme Ramez Underground.

The prank show, hosted by Egyptian actor Ramez Galal and televised every Ramadan, saw SRK get “punked” by dunking him into a pit of quicksand.

After it was revealed that it’s all a joke, the actor appeared furious at Galal, shouting, “You got me here all the way from India to do this [expletive]? Don’t talk to me.”

However, fans shouldn’t be too worried. A source close to us said that the celebs who appear on the show usually know what they’re in for beforehand.

3. HALIMA ADEN

She’s just made history by becoming the first hijabi model to appear on Vogue, so after a year of hard work, Halima Aden is taking it easy this Ramadan.

“For Ramadan, I try to stay away from all music, which can be hard. It means no movies, no television, no nothing, because even commercials will have music,” she told Harper's Bazaar Arabia recently. “Also, I sleep a lot during Ramadan, even though you’re supposed to be actually going to work, going to school actually keeping ourselves busy because you get more ajar if you work really hard that month. Unfortunately, my body doesn’t work well with not eating and drinking.”

4. AMITABH BACHCHAN

Another star who never forgets his Muslim fans is Big B himself, Amitabh Bachchan. The Bollywood legend tweeted to his followers: “To all brothers and sisters .. RAMADAN MUBARAK.”

5. LINDSAY LOHAN

She’s refused to confirm nor deny whether she’s converted to Islam; however, Lindsay Lohan continues to make references to the religion on her social media.

It’s unknown whether she fasts throughout the entire holy month, but the actress did take to her Instagram to wish her fans a Happy Ramadan.

Meanwhile, it’s said that the Mean Girls star spent the first days of the holy month aboard a luxury yacht with celebs, including Pamela Anderson, Jeremy Renner, Adrien Brody and Salma Hayek, and she reportedly prepared Ramadan feasts for them.

“I really enjoyed sharing feasts with friends; it brings a beautiful feeling of community and peace. It really made me happy and appreciative of life," she told WENN.

6. LUPE FIASCO

Rapper Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, better known by his stage name Lupe Fiasco, has often discussed his faith. He once said, “I was born Muslim, so Islam plays a part in my everything I do to a certain extent. I’m not like the poster boy for Islam, you know what I’m saying? So, it’s like I still got my flaws and stuff like that, so I don’t really wear that on my sleeve.”

At the beginning of the holy month, he took to Twitter to wish everyone a Happy Ramadan.

This week, he tweeted that it’s those around him who have helped the performer keep the faith: “I was born into Islam … But it’s the wonderful Muslims I've met in my life that keep me a part of it ... Keep up the good work!”

7. AKON

The American-Senegalese singer, who has performed numerous times in the UAE, is always open about his Muslim faith. He too recently wished fans a Ramadan Mubarak on social media.
