Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank CEO resigns

The chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Mazin Manna, has resigned, effective May 31.

ADIB said in a statement on Sunday (May 31) that current chief operating officer Sandeep Chouhan will serve as Acting CEO.

The standalone Shariah-compliant bank did not give any reason for Manna's departure. He became the bank's CEO in February 2019.

ADIB's first quarter profit plunged 55% year-on-year to 269.69 million dirhams ($73.44 million) as credit provisions and impairments soared.
