Almost half of UAE, Saudi residents planning international travel in 2021 – YouGov survey
Almost half of United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia residents surveyed said they were planning to make an international trip in the next 12 months.
The ‘Global Holiday Intent’ survey, conducted in October and November, found that 48% of UAE respondents and 46% in Saudi Arabia confirmed their intent to travel internationally in 2021.
The YouGov survey was conducted on behalf of Reed Travel Exhibitions, the organiser of the Arabian Travel Market. No details were given as to the number of respondents surveyed. The poll was done before the most recent COVID-19 vaccines announcements, said ATM Exhibition Director Danielle Curtis.
“Nearly half of those polled, confirmed that they intended to travel in 2021 and once vaccines have been rolled out around the world, those numbers can only increase,” said Curtis in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 15).
