Amana Bank Sri Lanka and TAIF Digital Institute partner to jointly establish a regional Digital Academy

April 22, 2021 - A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Amana Bank Sri Lanka  and TAIF Digital Institute FZ LLC for strategic collaboration in various aspects of digital learning solutions through the establishment of a Regional Digital Academy.

The understanding was established  between Chief Executive Officer of Amana Bank Sri Lanka Mr. Mohamed Azmeer  and Chief Executive Officer of TAIF Digital Institute Mr. Muhammad Ziaullah Siddiqui, concurrently in Colombo, Sri Lanka and Dubai, UAE recently .

This partnership will facilitate collaboration between the two institutions to promote and develop digital learning solutions to facilitate dissemination of knowledge of Islamic finance digitally, undertaking research and capacity building and conducting various digital courses together.

Talking on the occasion Mr. Mohamed Azmeer the CEO of Amana Bank Sri Lanka mentioned: “We at Amãna Bank strongly believe that bridging the knowledge gap and ensuring clear understanding on the values and benefits of Islamic banking is a critical ingredient to propel the acceptance and growth of the model across the world. Being the pioneer for Islamic Finance in Sri Lanka, we took onus upon ourselves and established a dedicated Knowledge Marketing Division, to serve this purpose. As a result we have succeeded in launching  a series of informative animated videos and a series of publics seminars to help the public  understand and discover the true essence of Islamic Banking and Finance. Encouraged by the success through such initiatives, we are now taking one step further in our cause by establishing a dedicated digital learning academy in partnership with TAIF Digital Institute. We are confident that the experience and technical strength of TAIF Digital Institute, will complement our knowledge and expertise to facilitate effective learning for the benefit of both local and global audiences, who are keen to further their knowledge in this ever expanding industry and become ambassadors of it.”
