Arabian Travel Market postponed to June due to COVID-19 fears

Arabian Travel Market will be postponed from April 19-22 to June 28-July 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Reed Exhibitions, the organiser of the annual travel trade fair, said in a statement on Monday (Mar 9) that it has "carefully monitored the global health crisis related to COVID-19" and that its top priority is the health and safety of everyone involved in ATM.

"Whilst the UAE is following the strictest medical and hygiene protocols in line with international standards, we have made this decision in the best interest of the industry to enable us to organise an event which provides effective participation and experience for all," said Reed Exhibitions.

The annual ATM includes a dedicated halal travel segment.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 has already caused numerous events to be cancelled or postponed. Last week. the organiser of Halal Hannover announced the event would be postponed, without giving any new dates. Last month Malaysia's biggest halal trade fair MIHAS said it was moving from April 1-4 to September 1-4.
