Central Bank of Bahrain's Sukuk Al-Ijara oversubscribed by 400%


Published 06 Oct,2021 via bizbahrain - The Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) announces that the monthly issue of the short-term Islamic leasing bonds, Sukuk Al-Ijara, has been oversubscribed by 400%.

Subscriptions worth Bahrani Dirham (BD) 104 million ($276.5 million) were received for the BD 26 million ($69.1 million) issue, which carries a maturity of 182 days.

The expected return on the issue, which begins on 7th October 2021 and matures on 7th April 2022, is 1.43% compared to 1.49% of the previous issue on 9th September 2021.

The Sukuk Al-Ijara are issued by the CBB on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This is issue No.194 (BH00069D5D71) of the short-term Sukuk Al-Ijara series.
