Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, has signed an MoU with real estate company Wasl Properties to establish the framework for a partnership to develop creative public art projects across the emirate.

The partnership is part of efforts to implement the directives of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum to transform Dubai into an open-air art museum and highlight the city's unique character as a fast-growing and diverse city.

Brand Dubai and Wasl Properties will form a team to manage joint projects. The first is a wall painting project at the Samari Retail community. The artwork, according to a press statement, combines traditional Emirati art with modern creative styles.

A series of new projects and initiatives are being finalised.

Wasl Properties is a subsidiary of Wasl Asset Management. It manages residential and commercial real estate across Dubai.
