Erwan Mace steps down as CEO of BitsMedia, the company behind successful Muslim Pro app

Erwan Mace, the founder of Bitsmedia, the company behind Muslim Pro, has stepped down as CEO.

“I have stepped down to a non-executive Chairman role,” Erwan told Salaam Gateway.

Louis-Bernard Carcouet takes over as CEO.

“I remain the Chairman of the Board and act as a mentor/advisor to Louis,” said Erwan.

Louis previously served as Managing Director of Bitsmedia.

Muslim Pro is the most downloaded Islamic app, passing the 75 million mark in September.

Singapore-based Bitsmedia launched Muslim Pro in 2010.

The start-up was acquired by two private equity firms, Singapore–based CMIA and Malaysia’s Affin Hwang, in 2017.
