Experts to brainstorm sustainability of food packaging at West Africa industry event in September


Published 27 Aug,2021 via The Nation - How to improve the sustainability of the packaging, printing, plastics and food processing industry to enable it act as the catalyst to get the manufacturing sector moving will top discussions at this year’s Propak West Africa exhibition.

The experts will also train their periscopes on how to utilise new practices and provide examples that can be applied in the country.

No fewer than 3500 visitors are expected at the exhibition billed for Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos next month. Also expected are over 80 brands from around the globe. Companies, who will be showcasing their products, include Atlas Copco, Bobst, Canon, CIS Buro, Exact Solutions, Fas Agro, Ishida, Miele, Neofyton, and Reifenhauser.

In a statement, an official of Propak, Jamie Pearson, said there would also be conference equipment display.

To moderate the conference’s panel sessions is an official of the PwC Nigeria. He will be joining leading companies, including FCMB, Guinness Nigeria, BUA Group, Bobst and Grand Cereals.

TetraPak West Africa are sponsoring the event and will be running a session on sustainability and innovation.

The organisers are launching a networking platform that allows and encourages exhibitors and visitors alike to reach out and connect with each other digitally ahead of the exhibition.
