How big is Malaysia’s Islamic capital market?
Malaysia's capital market reached 3,244.65 billion ringgit ($783.89 billion) in July 2018, according to data from the Securities Commission. Shariah-compliant assets accounted for 60.57 percent, equivalent to 1,963.31 billion ringgit. This is up 3.7 percent from 1,893.47 billion ringgit at the end of 2017.
The share of Islamic assets in Malaysia's capital market was up 1.17 percent in July compared to the end of 2017.
