How to attract Muslim travellers without alienating non-Muslims


With total outbound spend by Muslims expected to reach $233 billion globally by 2020 (excluding Hajj and Umrah) global hotels and destinations are increasingly taking note of Muslim travelers. Muslim spend currently accounts for 11 percent of global outbound travel expenditure. However, it is of critical importance for hotel chains not to alienate other important customer segments when they are seeking to cater to Muslim needs.
