Import growth across the OIC Islamic Economy
Imports for OIC member states in 2023 totalled $407.75 billion, of which food comprised 72% ($293.58 billion), according to the State of the Global Islamic Economy 2024/25 Report.
This represents a 1.79% decrease from the total import value of $415.05 billion in 2022.
While imports of cosmetics and fashion increased by $2.33 billion and $3.79 billion respectively, the value of food imports declined by $12.94 billion.
