The media sector is attracting higher levels of investment and regulatory attention, with the total value of deals related to media and entertainment doubling from $2.4 billion in 2021/22 to $4.98 billion in 2022/2023.
According to DinarStandard's State of the Global Islamic Economy 2023/24 Report, Muslim spending on media and recreation reached $247 billion in 2022, up by 6.4% from $233 billion in 2021, and is forecasted to reach $344 billion in 2027 at a CAGR of 6.8%.
