Malaysia's PayHalal to provide Shariah-compliant e-commerce platforms & services to Multipro Resources

Bandar Seri Begawan, 10 November 2019: PayHalal, the Shariah-compliant payment gateway by Souqa Fintech Sdn Bhd has today signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement with Brunei-based Multipro Resources Sdn Bhd (MRSB), here on the sideline of the Business Council Tertiary Industry Showcase 2019.

Through this agreement, PayHalal will provide the necessary Shariah-compliant e-commerce platforms for MRSB and its group of companies to operate their diverse investments. These include Halal endeavours in the supply chain facilitation, certifications and compliances, financial services, online and offline trade hubs and marketing, as well as marts and convenience stores.

The businesses under this agreement will cover the areas of Brunei, Federal Territory of Labuan, Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA), Asean and Asean+3.

The agreement was signed between Ja'afar Rihan, Chief Executive Officer (Asia Pacific) of Souqa Fintech and Dato Sri Hanis Adenan, Chief Excutive Officer of MRSB. It was witnessed by Pengiran Yura Kesteria Pengiran Mohd Yusuf, Excutive Chairman of the BIMP-EAGA Brunei Business Council.

Ja'afar Raihan said, "PayHalal and MRSB has mutually agreed to form an alliance to tap on each other's strength. We hope to be of assistance to MRSB in providing Shariah-compliant e-commerce platforms and services that will give both businesses and customers, especially but not limited to Muslims, a peace of mind in their everyday dealings."
