The art of dressing for Fashion Week street-style photos is ever-evolving. It’s been almost a decade since photographers and fashionistas took to the streets to document the latest wardrobe essentials, and we still can’t get enough.
Luckily for us, modest-fashion bloggers have hit the streets this year, and we can’t help but gawk at all their amazing styles. Here are ten looks to steal from this year’s Fashion Week.
FLOWER POWER
The perfect transitional piece award goes to … anything floral. While we’re stuck choosing between blazers and cotton shirts, floral dresses come in handy this time of year. Look at what withloveleena did here:
THROWBACK
There was a time, not too long ago, when snap-button track pants were every fit girl’s fashion staple. Take style notes from Summer AlBarcha on how to effortlessly sport this season’s athleisure look.
THINK SMALL
Street-style stars are making a case for mini bags and fanny packs. Let the fashionistas inspire your pocket-sized purse game this season like Heba Jay did here:
CONTRAST
This season’s favourite colour combo: pink and red. Long gone are the days when fashion rules took over our buying decisions. Thanks to an ever-evolving fashion scene, fashion rules just don’t exist anymore. White in winter, pink and red, mixing patterns, mismatching accessories are all examples of fashion faux pas turned into fashion oh la las. Here’s an example of our favourite pink-and-red colour combo as seen on Mademoiselle Meme during NYFW.
BOSS LADY
Take your corporate closet beyond your nine-to-five, because 2017 is the year of the pantsuit. Whether you invest in a $$$ Gucci set or a $$ Zara version, opt for the suit that suits you best. Styles vary from slim-fit to velvet to loose pants and culottes. We’re loving Melanie-Haute Hijab’s style.

LAYERS
Don’t put away your favourite summer dress in the back of your closet just yet. Pair it with a pair of straight-cut trousers and you’re good to go. Take your cue from Faten Odeh’s eye-catching outfit:
BOLD STRIPES
If anything, stripes is probably the only trend we’ve stressed about this year, and according to street-style fashion, it’s still going strong. Looks like Yasmeena took our advice to heart.
HEROES WEAR CAPES
Feeling a little too hot? No problem: cover up without being fully covered. Capes are great for turning any summer outfit into the perfect fall combo. Pair it with some flare pants like Sana Rashid did here and you’re good to go.
MISSMATCH
We’re not sure if this trend will catch on or not, but we’ll gladly keep an eye on it for you. Take a close look at Hassanah El Yacoubi’s NYFW outfit, featuring mismatched shoes and a monochrome track suit. There’s just something about this outfit that keeps us staring at it.
