Muslim crowdfunding platform to giveaway $100k on GivingTuesday, projects highest single-day donations

[Detroit, MI, 11/25/19] – LaunchGood, a global Muslim crowdfunding platform, will be holding a giveaway of $100k in prizes on GivingTuesday, December 3, 2019. All live campaigns on www.launchgood.com will be eligible to win prize money to go towards their causes. There will be top three winners for most money raised and for the top three campaigns with the most donors within the 24-hour period. Last year, during GivingTuesday 2018, LaunchGood’s $100k in prize giveaways encouraged more than $580,000 in donations, a single-day record for the platform. Prize money comes from individual user donations as well as through corporate sponsorships from Muslim businesses around the world.

In the days after the March 15, 2019 mosque shootings in New Zealand, LaunchGood helped raise more than $2.5 million NZD to help the families of the deceased and the surviving victims. In October of 2018, a campaign on LaunchGood created to benefit victims and families affected by a synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh raised more than $150,000 in 48 hours.

Started in October of 2013, LaunchGood has grown to facilitate more than 9,105 campaigns in more than 130 countries and to date, $96,408,884 has been funded.
