Oman, KSA ink MoUs on land, air transport


Published 01 Nov,2021 via Muscat Daily - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) signed two memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in the fields of land and air transportation on Monday.

The two MoUs agreed on sharing scientific information between the two countries in order to enhance technical capacity and boost logistics cooperation. The agreements will also facilitate visits between engineers, experts and technicians in the fields of land and air transport.

The MoUs also agreed on conducting seminars and joint meetings, and training of engineers, experts and professionals, besides utilising the geographical territories of the two countries to serve the joint logistical interests.

The MoUs were signed on the sidelines of the Omani delegation’s visit to KSA. The agreement on land transport was signed by H E Said Hamoud al Ma’awali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, and Saleh Nasser al Jaser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services in KSA.

The MoU on air transport was signed by Naif Ali al Abri, chairman of Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority, and Abdulaziz al Duailej, president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in KSA.
