Pakistani meat producer bags $4m contract to export beef to UAE

The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL), a Pakistan-based meat producer, has secured a contract to export 1,000 metric tonnes of frozen boneless beef to the United Arab Emirates.

The contract will enable The Organic Meat Company Limited to “generate revenues in excess of $4 million within the next six months,” the company said in a notice filed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Thursday.

The Organic Meat Company Limited bagged the agreement from First Quality Food Stuff LLC.

“The management of TOMCL is confident that this sales contract shall have a positive impact on our company’s topline as well as generated value to the company’s shareholders”, the notice read.

The company processes and sells halal meat and allied products. It was listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange in August 2020, after its initial public offering was oversubscribed 1.6 times.

Pakistan has been a considerable rise in its meat exports. The country's meat and meat preparation exports rose 25.13% to $426.7 million during the 2022-23 fiscal year.
