Saudi Food and Drug Authority joins WHO-National Control Laboratory Network for Biologicals

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has joind the WHO-National Control Laboratory (NCL) Network for Biologicals, state news agency SPA reported on Saturday (June 27). 

The NCL is a global platform for cooperation and exchange of technical expertise for vaccines and other biopharmaceutical preparations. 

Becoming a member of the Network gives SFDA access to review data on the findings of tests conducted in other national laboratories of member states, according to SPA.

It also allows SFDA to take advantage of the Network's early warning system, laying the ground for access to ingredients to manufacture vaccines.
