Saudi food company Almarai CEO resigns


Saudi Arabian food company Almarai announced on Tuesday (Nov 17) that its chief executive officer Majed Nazen Nofal had resigned due to personal reasons. 

Nofal was appointed CEO in Dec 2019. 

The company has appointed Bader Abdullah Al Issa as managing director to manage the business until a new CEO is appointed. 

All Issa has been a member of the Almarai board of directors since Aug 7, 2016 and holds other positions including vice chair of Savola Group, member of the board of directors at Banque Saudi Fransi and Dur Hospitality Company. 

Almarai's business includes poultry, bakery, dairy and juice and foodservice. It operates in its home market Saudi Arabia as well as across the Middle East.
