Taiwan rolls out promotional video to beckon Malaysian Muslims
Taiwan has introduced a new promotional campaign to attract Muslim travellers to the country.
The Taiwan Tourism Bureau launched its 2024 Salam Taiwan travel promotional video, highlighting the country's urban trends, eco-friendly travel, adventurous romance and cultural experiences.
Alongside the video, the bureau launched a new Muslim travel brochure as well as plans to unveil limited-time group discount packages in collaboration with Muslim travel agencies based in Malaysia.
The bureau also introduced Malaysian star Nabila Razali as its Muslim travel ambassador, Malaysia's state news agency Bernama said.
“The Taiwan Tourism Bureau has used the ‘Salam Taiwan’ brand since 2018 to position Taiwan as a welcoming destination for Malaysian Muslims. This year, Taiwan is focusing its promotional efforts on the Malaysian Muslim travel market,” a statement read.
Taiwan welcomed more than 170,000 Malaysians between January and April this year.
