UAE’s Takaful Emarat appoints new CEO


UAE’s takaful Emarat has appointed Wael Al Sharif as its new Chief Executive Officer, it said in an exchange filing on Tuesday (November 5).

The new CEO takes over from Fadi Jawdat Hindi who resigned effective August 18.

Tammam Abdullah was serving as Acting CEO until the appointment of the new CEO.

The Islamic insurer posted 1,187,575 dirhams ($323,369) in profit attributable to shareholders for the first six months of 2019, its latest earnings report, up 242 per cent from the same period in 2018.
