Egypt takes measures against German company for discrimination against Muslim Egyptian
Published 11 Apr,2021 via Daily News Egypt - Egypt asserted, on Saturday, that it will take measures against a German company for its discrimination against an Egyptian woman for wearing an Islamic headscarf (hijab).
Nouran Hassanein, who currently resides in Germany, had applied for a job at the company, but was subject to discrimination on account of her wearing the headscarf.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs, Nabila Makram, said that she had phoned the 28-year-old woman to assure her that Egypt is working to protect her rights.
